Shane van Gisbergen solidified his road course mastery with an impressive first NASCAR Xfinity Series® win in Portland, Oregon.
The New Zealander, who won the NASCAR Cup Series® race on the Chicago streets last year in his first career start, led laps on two different occasions early in the race. Then in crunch time, van Gisbergen passed the leader on a restart with just four laps remaining. He cruised beneath the checkered flag with
his No. 97 Quad Lock Chevrolet Camaro and celebrated the win with a tremendous burnout all the way around the 1.967-mile Portland road course.
