Ryan Preece was a proven Modified racing star before making his way into the top levels of NASCAR®. That early-career success reached its pinnacle when Preece drove the Eric Sanderson-owned No. 16 Modified to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship in 2013. The success continued into 2014 as Preece swept the wins in the last two NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour races that season as well.
Both seasons, Preece drove a gray, blue, and dayglo red No. 16 Modified for the Flamingo Motorsports team. In 2024, Preece will turn back the clock as his No. 41 United Rentals Ford Mustang NASCAR Cup Series® car will sport a throwback paint scheme to the one he drove during the 2013 and 2014 Modified seasons.
