Ross Chastain bested the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series® field, plus Mother Nature, to score a Darlington Raceway victory.
The NASCAR Cup Series® star teamed with Niece Motorsports with the backing of the Buckle Up South Carolina initiative and made the best of the opportunity. After a two-hour rain delay at the beginning of the 200-mile race, Chastain worked his way towards a battle for the win late in the going. Following an overtime restart on lap 148, Chastain rocketed his No. 45 Chevrolet Silverado to the top spot and never looked back. It was Chastain’s fifth career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series® victory and first of the 2024 season in just his second start.
