For the past 75 years, the Petty family has defined NASCAR® success and impact. When Lee Petty, the family patriarch, first started in the sport in1949, it kicked off four generations of Petty family drivers, crew chiefs, and supporters who have seen unprecedented NASCAR® success.
To celebrate the Petty family’s 75 Years of Racing in 2024, Lionel Racing is excited to make an exclusive eight-car pack of 1:64-scale die-cast availablefor order. Included in the set will be commemorative versions of paint schemes that each of the Petty family members drove to success during theirracing career, along with their car number and the logo of the Petty 75 Years of Racing celebration. Each will be produced on the newest NASCAR®NextGen Chevrolet Camaro tooling.
Lee Petty’s white No. 42 leads the way in this set, along with his son Richard, “The King,” Petty and his signature No. 43. Richard’s son Kyle has a signature paint scheme that evokes memories of his 1981 season included in this set. Plus, Kyle’s son, the late Adam Petty, will be celebrated as well witha paint scheme that harkens back to his first NASCAR Cup Series® start in 2000. Maurice Petty, Richard’s younger brother, and his Petty blue No. 41 isspotlighted here, along with his two sons, Ritchie and Mark, who raced in NASCAR® events during the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. Rounding out thePetty family collection in this set is a commemorative fantasy die-cast that celebrates the four generations of the Petty family members and includesthe car numbers raced by the Petty family over the years.
