Kyle Larson’s NASCAR Xfinity Series® race at Circuit of the Americas
had just as many twists and turns as the Texas road course, but that
path ultimately
led to Victory Lane.
Larson, with his No. 17 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro, won the
pole in qualifying, but had to start from the rear of the field to
address a brake issue.
He rallied his way towards the front of the
field on the 20-turn, 3.41-mile road course to be in position to contend
for the win. In third place on the race’s
final lap, the leader and
second-place cars tangled. That opened the door for Larson to sneak by
to lead his only lap of the day – the last one. It was the
2021
NASCAR Cup Series® champion’s 15th career NASCAR Xfinity Series® win and
extended his series win streak to a third-straight season.
