One of the most iconic paint schemes in NASCAR® history was brought back to the track by GMS Racing driver Daniel Dye during the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR® at Darlington Raceway.
The iconic Petty blue and dayglo No. 43 that NASCAR® legend Richard Petty drove to much success over the course of his illustrious career was on board Dye’s Chevrolet Silverado at Darlington. Petty dominated the 1970’s in the same colors that flew around the track with Dye behind the wheel. Making this look even more meaningful, Dye promoted Race to Stop Suicide, a nonprofit founded by the driver and his father, Randy, in 2018.
